Robert, sixteenth abbot of Roche

Robert professed obedience and was blessed in 1300. He presided over the abbey during tumultuous times. War against the Scots and France meant that he was called to parliament on numerous occasions; there was trouble nearer home in 1322 when the valley of Roche was ravaged by rebels.
