The abbot's door at Rievaulx

Abbot of Rievaulx, (1489-1508/9). During his abbacy John converted the infirmary hall at Rievaulx into a splendid abbot’s house, which was one of the largest in the country. The image on the right shows the abbot's door in the west wall.
