"View along the nave of the church at Kirkstall Abbey looking west. Trees can be seen growing in the gap created by the partial collapse of the tower in 1779 on the right. The photograph must, therefore, have been taken prior to the the programme of conservation in 1892-6 when this damage was repaired."
